Classes are always high energy and fun.  This is not your typical gym workout.  Expect a full-body workout that engages every muscle group in your body, with a strong focus on your core. The explosive movements in class also improve flexibility, balance, coordination and can help you build faster reflexes.  With lots of punching, kicking and footwork students can burn up over 450 calories per hour.  Classes challenge your technique, endurance and above all, concentration. Half the battle is mental — you need to focus on the individual movements that make up a combination.  You don’t need any martial arts or boxing experience to take a class. Everyone is welcome.

If you’re someone who’s looking to shed some extra weight but can’t stand the thought of running, kickboxing just might be the workout for you.  Classes focus on delivering an anaerobic workout.  These workouts use short bursts of high- intensity movement.  Many studies show that anaerobic workouts are better for burning calories than aerobic workouts.  More calories burned, means more fat left on the mat.
